Pricing Bottom Painting

I am getting down to the final few boats before I purchase. As this is my first sizable (e.g. > 24 ft) boat, I have a question on bottom paint.

One of the boats I am looking at (35') is in need of bottom paint. If I decide to purchase this boat, is the bottom painting something I should get done prior to purchase? (It is on land right now). OR is it something I should wait and have done. Part of me thinks I should know who is doing it. If I hire someone to do it, what should I expect to pay and what should I expect done? (sanding, etc.)
