No More VC Tar?

Here is the problem, bottom is fiberglass with VC tar barier coat with VC 17 over that. Been very happy with this system in our area except for the cost.

Last fall I found a few areas of the barier layer that were starting to flake off and would like to put same stuff on. Unfortunatly I found out Interlux no longer makes the VC tar. Currently I can not find anything that is compatable with either the present tar or the VC 17. Do not want to strip the whole bottom. Called Interlux and they recommended their interlux 2000 barier coat but it states on the can not compatable with VC 17.

Someone has had to run into this before. Any ideas?
