Nitronic 50 Clevis Pins

I wanted to get clevis pins stronger than 316 stainless for a shear application (attaching standing rigging to mast tang) I have looked at various alloys, but very few are available in the size I need (3/8")

I found a website selling navtec rod rigging for sailboats, it's $6 per ft of 3/8" nitronic 50. For just 1 or 2ft of this, I could cut it and drill holes for cotter pins to make many clevis pins. Anyone done this?

I also considered titanium (6Al4V) which has similar strength to nitronic 50 (about twice 316 stainless) Both have better corrosion resistance than 316. Any other suggested alloys? I can't find 2205 in 3/8" rod.

304L , 17-4, inconel 718, Hastelloy C-276 just to name a few.

But on a 27' boat 316L would be just fine.
