Morgan 462 Steering

Can anybody tell me the make and model of the hydraulic steering system for a 1981 Morgan 462. I have an internal leak in the system and I have to correct to starboard a full rotation of the wheel every hour. Is the leak in the pump at the wheel or at the ram? Any advise will help.

Thanks Wanderer I

Re: Morgan 462 steering

Hynautic.... look for the recent post looking for 462 owners manual. The owners manual has several pages from the additional Hynautic manual that came with the boat. (I do not have it).
While there is a Hyanautic repair site in FL, a local marine hydraulic shop rebuild all my components for much less and I saw the person who did it...

Re: Morgan 462 Steering

i replaced all the hyd hoses and pump and the valve body on the back of the helm and still had a problem . it turned out that the new valve body was faulty. i had my old one rebuilt and now have no problem. the old copper lines were in need of replacing with braided hoses anyway. there is a specific procedure for bleeding the system also,
