Jabsco toilet question: Where Does the Spring go ?

I bought a new top gasket for the toilet, and in the package is a small spring. Can someone please tell me where it should be placed inside the pump assembly? Clueless...

Thanks.

It's number 35 (flap valve seating spring), but only for post-1997 models.

Re: Jabsco toilet question: Where Does the Spring go ?

Thank you, Stu. But, where is it's position within the assembly? The schematic is not very clear to me, and being a lazy sort I only want to place it in the unit once.

This may help:

Locate the valve seat (key 19) on top of the cylinder, locate the top valve gasket (key 21) on its pegs on top of the cylinder, locate the valve spring (key 35) on its peg in the valve cover, and Open () the Flush Control (key 23) before refitting the valve cover (key 27).
