Haul / Bottom Paint - Grand Bahama / Nassau

Hello All -

We want to get our bottom painted before we leave the Bahamas. We're currently in Spanish Wells, and unfortunately R&B, the only gig in town, can't take a boat with a 6' draft. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any yards with a good reputation in either the Freeport area or the Nassau area that could raise our waterline by a couple of inches and paint the bottom. There are a few yards - I just don't know anything about them.

On Grand Bahama,

I've never been to either, but have heard mention of Running Mon and Bradford. Bradford does a lot of work on high end yachts and ships.

Abacos:

I looked into boat yard options last time I was there. The yard in Marsh Harbour wouldn't give me the time of day. One of the Edwin's boat yards in Man-o-war uses a ramp instead of a lift, but seemed to work on several bigger boats. (The Moorings manager told me he has some of their work done there.) The Lighthouse Marina yard in Hope Town was very full when I was there and hauled with a fork life. Few boats were over 30 feet. The Abaco Yacht Services yard in Green Turtle might fit your bill. They have a lift and seemed reasonably professional when I was there and said they do bottom painting. Their webpage is here:

The Edwin's yards In Man-O-War Abaco do very good work. I had our bottom painted at Edwin's 2 last year.

Labatt...if you want it done decently and quickly, I'd recommend these guys...working the tide you have up to 8' approach depth. Make your appointment in advance.
Come in at Little Harbor entrance after making your way over from Spanish Wells.
