cool running coating

Hi
I am about to apply a new product called cool running acoustic coating to my engine compartments instead of the typical sound down foam. It is supposed to change vibration energy to heat and therefore eliminate most engine noise. Has anyone tried this product? any suggestions to make application easy? I plan to spray it using a compressor. Anyone know if this stuff works?

All sound absorbing materials convert acoustic energy to heat.
