Beneteau Dead Lights Replacement

I am replacing the deadlights on my 1984 beneteau first 456. I have read a lot of information regarding sealants etc. When I removed the acrylic it was glued with some sort of double tape to the fiberglass. This double tape was extremely strong, the acrylic came out in several pieces due to the strength of the tape. Any idea what beneteau used in the 80's to seal the deadlights. If it lasted this long I want to use that same exact product.
