Bahamas for a Bottom Job

Just finished a cruise up the east coast, currently sitting in miami, and will be headed to the exhumas in feb - my 2003 40' jeanneau needs bottom paint - a couple of cruisers have suggested that i get it done in the bahamas instead of doing it myself in a diy yard here - does anyone have any experience with yards in the bahamas and bottom painting there
thanks

The labour is cheaper than FL but the cost of paint is about double! If you're thinking of having it done in the Bahamas you might want to bring your own paint with you.

I had several friends who had their bottoms painted in Spanish Well. Check out Bahamas Marinias at Marinas in Bahamas

Most the the places I know of are in the Abacos, not Exumas. Depends on size of your boat but Browns Boat Yard in Nassau can do it.

Marsh Harbor Marina, Man of War Cay, the marina in Black Sound in Green Turtle Cay have all done jobs for friends with good result. All these in Abacos. All of these can do many catamarans.
