Wires Motorola Alternator

Wanting to hook an external Balmar voltage regulator to a
Motorola 9RC 7052 alternator that is on my Perkins 4 108 on my 84, Beneteau .

Where can I get a manual of this old 1984 Motorola alternator?

Anyone have any idea of the 4 wires that are on the Alternator Pictures that are enclosed.
# 1= red - positive , #2 - Black, # 3: blue ??? #4- Orange ??
which are the field and the static wires ?

How do I bipass the voltage regulator that is built to the alternator and hook up the ARS Balmar Voltage Reg.

thanks

Like this:

Yours is a little different inasmuch as I replaced the alternator at the same time, so the Ford plug is different, but the concept's the same.

Wire-by-wire, inch-by-inch, row-by-row.

Good luck.

PS If your external regulator is "requesting" high output, you might want to use the Small Engine Mode or the Amp Manager or both. You can find many dfiscussions right here, as well as here:
