Velvet drive repair near Savannah

Traveling up the ICW, and my 1976 velvet drive is now making horrible noise (starboard). First noisy like a rubbing, now clattering.

Planning to stop at Thunderbolt marine (mm 582). They recommend ww williams as a repair company. Are the reasonable and good?

Any recommendations for someone able to repair the issue, and perhaps take a look at the Lehman engine too? Just found a quart of oil in the engine pan this evening.

Will arrive at Thunderbolt tomorrow / Tuesday, and need feedback fast before I possibly make a poor choice on a service company.

Thanks!

Second WW Williams for the transmission and the engine. They are top quality, work fast and are good value. They've seen it all.

Thunderbolt Marine is a very competent yard.
