need some prop advise

We have used MaxProp on Tartan 3500 and now on Tartan 3700. The MaxProp is excellent in forward and reverse. There is prop walk in either direction, but you simply do a number of test drives in open area and you learn the characteristics. If you do not need prop walk, you use short bursts (1-2 seconds) and then go to neutral.

Forgot to mention.

As I am planning to move the 28 footer South to Florida via ICW and while in Florida to do a decent amount of ICW based travel, i.e motoring plus a lot of docking, I figured a fixed 3 blade would be just right for that type of use.

Most opinions/calculations I've read state that the loss of speed while sailing for fixed 3 blade vs fixed 2 blade would be in the range of 1/8 to 1/4 kt. I could tolerate even 1/2 kt but IMO anything close to 1kt would be too much. Would love to hear CF member's experience on this issue. Thanks.
