Unhappy Help !

My yanmar sail drive (SD20) started skipping, then went into gear for a few timesNow it won't engage the gear, the linkage is fine and when I put it in gear the prop will spin in forward but not reverse. I was running the engines hard the prior three hours to this. I also regularly change the zincs (June 2011 the last time) and change the oil as well. There are 1800 hours on the engine and saildrive. Any advice would be appreciated as we are anchored off the ICW just south of the Lantana bridge in Palm Beach Fl. Thanks

Rick

Re: Help !

It could be a cable problem. Have you tried selecting gears by moving the lever on the actual transmission?
