From 2 to 3 blade feathering prop?!

Hi all,
Thinking of replacing my current 2 bladed (and badly worn) prop, to a 3 blader. Both are rated at 16x12. Would this be ok, or are there other allowances and considerations I need to make for a 3 blade prop?
Thanks in advance!
