EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) check with auberins

Hi all,

I just ordered a pid controller for sous vide cooking from Auberins.com so might as well have added this under Food and Drink section.

Looking further on their website they also sell neat little devices to monitor your EGT. Not expensive I think. Does anybody have experience with these?

I have been looking at getting an EGT system for my boat to optimize engine load and the VDO instrumentation that I've found is significantly more expensive. I wonder if the link you posted is just for the display unit, while the actual gauge that goes into the exhaust is over 200 euros - $300

I think that is just the display unit, as it mentions what senders/senors it will work with. Take a look at the application and sensor set up guides at the bottom.

yes that one in your last link is a complete set. The one in your original link was not the same thing, but designed to be used with a variety of sensors.

yup, looks like the complete set. if the sous vide cooking thing turns out right and the device looks sturdy i will go for the EGT gauge as well.

maybe even try to cook some meat with my exhaust!!
