Detroit Diesel Header tank

I pulled apart some of the fittings on the raw water side of my JT header tank as i was sure there was some old anodes lying in there slowing the flow down, sure enough there were several, however, whilst i had the fittings off, I noticed the coolant slowly leaked out overnight. This indicates to me there must be small hole in the core ? The strange thing is the level of coolant in the header tank prior to me pulling it apart was always fine! The core on these JT units seemed to be sealed, ie the core is placed inside and then welded up. Does anyone know where I can get a second hand JT header tank, reconditioned or not, to suit a 6V92 DD?

Those cores look the same as the original ones used by DDA, and should be removeable.
They are very expensive.

Don't know where you're located but there's a company over in Metairie that has a large stock of used Detroit parts. Their number is 504 738 9644, ask for used parts, I think, but am not sure, that the guys name is Mark.
