You saved me to write exactly the same things...
Even a small opening the size of a dime can destroy 100 sq.ft of the best sound damping material.

Key guys ... you have to find the "HOLE" ("hole" refering to a lot of issues, flexible walls, floors, bilges (as Wooland said), ect. etc.).

This is a serious job, if you want it solved, not just pitching some costly material around.
