Re: Under water lights

Caelestis,. I'm quite familiar with those lights. I installed them on a Leopard power cat last year. They are terrific!

Where on the hulls did you mount them? I'm thinking about installing a pair on my Leopard 43 sailing cat. I just want to light up the area aft. How many did you install?

Thanks

Re: Under water lights

We mounted them on the inboard side of the aft swim platforms. It's a long stretch to access the installation location via the inspection plate.

Re: Under water lights

For a sailing cat, without the swim platforms (which provide additional buoyancy for the added engine weight), you can mount them wherever you can access the backside of the base plate, transom or inboard aft hull.

Re: Under water lights

We use these with great success. Very bright available in white, green, or blue. I just plug them into our 12 vdc convenience outlet

Love it when we don't return to boat until after dark, and the cat loves watching the fish. Bonus: no holes, and light is 360* once below depth of draft.

Re: Under water lights

We just replaced the oem lights on our 400L with the piranha p6 lights. A little pricey but we like them. Like many said, we enjoy the fish at night and a way to locate you boat easily when diving at night.
