Just thought of another one! Suncor Stainless makes what they call passivating fluid. Sounds similar to Spotless Stainless. Here is the description from their website:
"The Passivating Fluid consists of a citric acid and is used on stainless steel hardware before exposure to the elements. The cleaner brings the Nickel content to the surface, preventing discoloration or surface rust. Eye protection and a face mask is recommended."
