Main sail furling on a Cat

Is there a reason why manufactures of cats don't put boom furling systems on their boats?

why spend a lot of money for a sx that is complex, prone to problems and likely to give you a poor sail shape. Unless rolling up the sail to turn on the motor is your main act. for good sail shape full batten large Roach main with lazy jacks or lazy jack type zip up cover= reliability and sailing efficiency. You probably won't find too many ex racers using roll up mains(unless there really over the hill). A good large roach full batten multi hull main sail may not work too well in a roller boom (too many battens and too much material to stuff in)

It sucks?

Seriously, most cats depend on large roach mainsails with full length battens. It's hard to do this with boom furling and it's very costly to do it right.
