Jim Brown Searunners

Anyone know much about Searunners? I'm thinking of 37 or 40 feet - for cruising and as a liveaboard. I've read a bit about them and it seems they sail well, point, don't have any really bad habits. I like the separation of living and sleeping spaces, and when around the dining table you aren't looking up at the sky. That centre cockpit feels safe and gives a good view. They seem to be a step up in performnce from a Piver, and a cheap(ish) way to get a reasonable multihull.

I'd appreciate any comments from anyone who has sailed/owned one of these; especially discussion on whether to go for a ketch or sloop rig, and what to look for when buying a used one.

Hi, Colin.

There's quite a bit in our archives on the Searunners. Check out this Cruisers Forum specific search on "searunner".
