Gemini Cat locker problem

I am looking at a 2011 Gemini 105mc. This one has a hole broke through the floor of the rear hull locker. Has anyone else had a problem with a week floor in there rear hull lockers. How difficult is this to repair?

Re: Gemini Cat locker problem

As a Gemini owner, I have never heard of that one. Are you sure you are not looking at the small aft compartments that house the rudder arms? They are wet by design. Try asking on the forum:

No, this is in the locker. The current owner has some of his fenders stored in it, but the floor is broke through. I'm assuming the area below the locker is supposed to be one on the flotation compartments.

Yes, under that locker is flotation. Just plywood floor, it should be an easy fix.I foamed mine with 2lb flotation foam.

Re: Gemini Cat locker problem

I have exactly the same problem on my 2011 Gemini (#1104). The floor of the port locer has multiple cracks. I am planning to san it down and add a couple layers of fiberglass cloth and resin. Should be better than new.

What locker are you talking about? I can think of at least 3 different spaces you could be talking about.

Re: Gemini Cat locker problem

The floor in the locker just forward of the port steps has cracks in it and flexes under any weight. My boat is a 2011 105Mc, hull # 1104. It appears that Hunter did not make the floor thick enough to support the small amount of weight I've had in it, never more than 30-40 pounds. My fix will be to sand the floor and apply at least two layers of fiberglass cloth and resin. I assume the locker on the starboard side also has a thin floor and I'll tackle that one next.
