CAT layout conversions

How hard would it be to convert 4-suite/4-head layout to each hull being an owners suit with separate showers. I was looking at a morrings boat on the web.

My concern was after watching a video on the seawind boats that are made up of 5 pre-molded units attached to the interior of the boat. Are these units considered as part of the whole ship structional integrety?

Thanks for any thoughts on this.

Even if partitions are not premolded, moving bulkheads, or even increasing the size of passage way hatches can affect structural strength.

You might be OK but I would want someone with a bit of naval engineering expertise involved.

Dan, I agree with Sunspot Baby that it may not be a good idea to modify bulkheads or structures molded in to the hull. You may still be able to do some modifying to meet your needs, however. We have 3 queen sized berths in our cat and really only need one full time and one part time for guests. We converted one of the staterooms to an office/storage area. I removed a sink and built a desk in its place with a pull out tray underneath for a laptop. Above the desk, I put a shelf for a printer and some file organizers. I took the mattress off the berth and used that space for a microwave and some plastic clothes storage drawers. Eventually, I will redesign a little more to make more storage areas where the mattress used to be. Hopefully, you can find things to do with your extra heads/staterooms to meet your needs.
