Re: What has 3 cabins, 2 heads, shoal draft, and good light air performance?

Quorning is coming out pretty soon with a 40' tri. Have you looked at that?

I've seen what's on the web site. I doubt it'll be nicer or roomier than my 1200, which is beautifully finished and has an aft cabin with head. And it'll be out of my price range.

A Southerly 42 or 47 would fulfill your specifications. Lifting keel with under 3ft draft and ICW compatible mast. Lovely boats.

Catalina 42, MkII. Love ours; plenty of room; 3 cabins w/Pullman layout forward with head/separate shower stall. I know you don't want it but we also love our in-boom main. Fully battened sail, super easy to reef. She sails real nice for a production boat. And she's sturdy.... we've experienced some interesting weather on the Chesapeake in spite of always paying close attention to forecasts.
Good luck!
