The decks on a lot of today's racers are mostly underwater anyway in a chop. It certainly is a great testimonial to be in the lead 1/2 way through the race. Will be an even better one if it is still in the lead at the finish.

Looks horrible - like a Croc sandal with a mast. It may be fast and so on ad infinitum but not for me.

wet cruising is uncomfortable. i will stick with my clipper bow and dry cockpit, thankyou.

Most mini trans ats routinely do 18 knots Damn fine for a less than 23 foot monohull. they are designed to cross the Atlantic quickly under sail with usually one crew. They accomplish that very well. Conditions are sparten and the sailing must be thrilling to say the least.

+1 I was going to make a comment about the first part of yours, then I read the end.

It won't catch on but one day you'll look around and EVERYONE has it.

Just remember, the 386 PC really sucked, but it helped bring about what you're using now. Who knows, in 10 years they might perfect a faster, dryer, more stable monohull using the concepts pioneered in this boat. It certainly would bring about a revolution in the interior of the boat. The cabin would be more square, things could be placed differently. The captains V-Birth would be gone and there could be an Island Queen bed on a ~33 foot boat. How many wives would think better of a boat if it had that?
