Swede 55

I was looking a pictures of a Swede 55 in another forum. What can people tell me about this boat? I sure looks sweet! Okay, maybe not very practical but what a beauty. How would a boat like this fair as a blue water cruiser?

I guess the second question is how does someone go about finding one?

I have some first hand experience with this boat. It is very fast and a bit of a handful getting it in and out of slips and tight spaces. She is built to high standards and very seaworthy. The living space, because of the narrow beam is kind of like living in a hallway. She will attract a lot of attention where ever she goes. A Swede 55 was the winner in the Marion to Bermuda race several times. It was a fun boat to sail.

Yep, gorgeous boats. There's a reason why they call the aft cabin "The Baby Pit".
