Shroud tension on a two spreader (backwards) no backstay rig

Hi all! I was wondering if you could help me with this:I would like to know how much tension is good on the shrouds , how do I know? general answer is the leeward shroud should go a bit slack when beating in 10-15 knots; but how much "slack" is good?? 1cm / 2cm, more??? My rig is a double spreader (backward spreader) with no backstay, do these kind of rigs need more tension than other rigs?

You might want to visit the Brian Toss website. Brian is a master rigger and author of several books on rigging, splicing, and knots. Knot to mention the Chapman book of knots (pun intended). Amongst his products is a video on tuning rigs that describes what you are talking about, if memory serves. If not, send them an e-mail and ask if the video will help you. They are pretty open.
