Not sure. I assume it fastened to the seaway frame on top of the Origo.

Congratulations, yer own self. I saw the pics of your beautiful Girl in your sea trial thread today.

Here is a few more pics of my beast. I'm renaming her Rose of Shannon for my oldest daughter who died of breast cancer 16 months ago.




The companion way hatch is all stainless steel and literally water and bullet proof.


Here you can see the route of the jib sheet, back to a block on the rail near the stern then back to the two cocked winches on the mast. First thing I'm going to do is move the winches back to the cockpit, and eventually the staysail sheet as well.





The engine room door.



Aft of the engine room is a small cabin with a toilet under the box to the left. Oddly, this one has a holding tank and the main frwd head has none.



And lastly, she was a cover girl for Pacific Yachting back when she was younger, in Dec., '04 in Vancouver. She's the last on the left.

I'm about in the same spot you were in May, heading down to San Carlos to get the boat surveyed and go for a sea trial.

How did you find Gary to be in the survey. It seemed pretty inclusive.

I don't know why but the broker for the boat, 'Sea of Cortez yachts' recommended Cecil Lange, a surveyor over in La Paz.

I'm a bit suspicious of all this when I find out there is a surveyor in san Carlos. I will have to pay Cecil's expenses to fly over to San Carlos, spend 3 nights to get the survey and attend the sea trial done, plus $12 a ft.

I wonder if the local broker has some bone of contention with Gary.
The boat is in very good condition and I just need to do some ultra-sound testing of the steel hull.

I don't mean to be too inquisitive but if possible could you email me a few pages from Gary's survey. I realize that this is time consuming and may not be possible.

I just find it hard to believe that the local broker would not give the name of a local surveyor.
