Re: Purchase contract with spelling mistakes

You are buying a boat sight unseen, in a foreign country?
Why can I never find suckers like that?

You're buying a boat sight unseen and with no HIN and you're worried about spelling?

Re: Purchase contract with spelling mistakes

Over 48 photos of a tiny boat, one video spoke with the owner and the broker and both, for the most part, are on point. It would cost me a minimum of five thousand dollars to go see the boat and that's a big bite out of my cruising money. If these people are scamming, they are, by a landslide, the best scammers I've ever heard of. On an Albin Vega I think even if there are some issues it's unlikely to cost five grand to repair. Could be wrong but what in life that's worthwhile isn't a gamble?

Re: Purchase contract with spelling mistakes

There is a HIN. And yeah, the whole thing is a risk and therefore unnerving. Even if I were in England dealing face to face with the seller that's no guarantee I won't get scammed.

It's all moot now, I wired the money this morning.

Please let us know how this turns out when you finally get to see the boat.
There are a lot of curious people watching, and wondering.
