Morgan oi 41 question

Have a question about the morgan 1973 41 foot I am trying to get. The brooker has it listed as a 416 sloop but according to sailboatdata the 416 was first built in 1981 any thoughts?

Re: Morgan oi 41 question

I think the 416 is just a later version of the classic 41? Pretty much the same boat. Brokers tend to mess details like that up all the time.

Re: Morgan oi 41 question

A 73 model would be a 413, not 416. The 413s were walkover models with no passageway below decks to access the aft cabin. Also the hull/deck joint was on the side of the hull instead of the cap rail area, potentially more vulnerable to damage. A 413 usually goes for less $ than later models (slightly less desirable) but the are still good boats.

Re: Morgan oi 41 question

That's what threw me but this is a walk-through model or walk over

Re: Morgan oi 41 question

I'm not a Morgan expert but as far as I know all 73s were walkover originally. So if its a walk through then its either not a 73 or it was modified by an owner. Where is the hull/deck joint?
