Well done Captain.

kind regards,
I was ignoring Transformer's little jab at Capt Alex, but since you brought it up, I doubt Transformer has my tonnage rating, yet I have no problem accepting Capt Alex as a captain.

The main crux of this thread is Capt Alex has a new to him boat and on the shake down cruise, no issues. I've been on a few sea trials of new ships and that doesn't happen, a list is generated on all the short comings.

Again, congrats on the new boat and your 1st passage.

Thanks for all of the well wishes. I am happy to have joined the sailing community again. My last sailboat was sold over 10 years ago. Now I am working toward joining the full time cruising community. But for now it's back to work to pay for my new toy. Cheers!

10 years is a dry spell. I'm approaching 20 years of dry and dusty, so dusty I'm giving thought to power.

When I'm on my boat, I wear a captain's hat. That makes me the captain. Anyone who disagrees will be scuttled immediately and convicted of mutiny!

No need to be jealous, you can get a captains hat too if you want. You just can't wear it on my boat.

So I shouldn't show up looking like this for a cruise on your boat?

Sure! First officers don't need to wear a hat. Only the captain has to wear hat. That's how you know I'm a captain!
