How do I operate bilge Pump or lights via shore power?

I keep my battery charger on when on shore power. That compensates for any 12v current draw from stuff like bilge pump, 12v lights or 12v refrigerator/freezer.
Of course I also run A/C appliances on the 110 outlets- TV, microwave, etc. I don't really understand the problem.
