Converting a 1GM10 to Operate with a SD20 Sail Drive

Hello, I am not sure if this question has already been answered addressed. I purchased a Catalina 250 that has a SD Sail Drive but there was no motor. I would like to know what is needed to convert a 1GM10 to operate with the sail drive. I understand that Yanmar makes a model specifically for the saildrive, the 1GM10C but I would like to know can a 1GM10 be converted to a 1GM10C.

Not much. Possibly a different bell housing and drive plate, but I don't think even that is different.

So essentially, purchasing a 1gm10 and a couple of after market parts would allow it to be converted....
