You be careful with worlds like 'soulless' when addressing your new home Steel boats have ears, I swear to God, and they resent such harsh words.

Did you know iron is the only element that doesn't alter any further during the stellar fusion process? Your boat is made almost entirely out of something that refuses to bend knee to the unimaginable power of a burning star. Think about that for a second, the next time you feel like cursing your hull type

Capt. Ron's Wanderer

Fishman Tx, you still around?

I seem to remember you commenting on this boat about a year ago. Is it near you and have you had a chance to take a look at it?

If so, what are your thoughts/comments?

Same applies to anyone else who might have seen it.

Vic

anjou-i woke up one time having rolled over in my sleep--into the steel hull-- before any nice warm wood or anything had been placed--- was a tad chilly. was winter. water temp was 56 and air temp was 39-40. was a tad cool. (thought i hd been frozen to death-- didnt like it at all.) steel boats DO have souls-- but ye gotta warm em up a bit.
i really like fiberglass tho with a wood liner.(gets us back onto the topic ... lol)

there ye go-- the heart of the boat. make that room able to be your boats heart--- you will be in there most of the time anyway--might as well make it really comfy. i have to do that with this one. i always find it disconcerting to have ot talk with folks in a different room when i am doing cooking stuff...in winter it makes sense as the galley is always warmer than anywhere else.. i just a thought....
maple is nice to smell and burns nice too--smells gooood..

Re: Formosa Boats - Your Thoughts ?

I am looking at a CT47 and would like to hear from anyone who has owned one, did any significant amount of blue water cruising, etc...
It is at a reasonable price and we plan to add a few items and replace the rigging, but overall, she is nice and spacious.
Love to hear your thoughts.
