220V vrs 100V Considering Bent. 473 from Europe

I am looking at possibly buying a Beneteau 473 from Europe which is wired with 220v. I am used to 110v. Should I be concerned about this?

Yes you will require "some" electrical adaptations to acommodate the North American 120 volts AC 60Hz Voltage used in Panama.

You will need to drop the voltage or use appliances which can operate on 220v

You might not need to change at all.

If you do a lot of marina living, then yes you might. But then the costs to change over are only a few days worth of marina fees.

The last time we used shore power was 3 months ago.
If we needed to run a drill on board we could just run an extension cord inside, couldnt we?

The water heater element is one of the only things that runs off electricity apart from the battery charger... so its not going to be a huge, daunting job to change it over.

Wiring cn all be the same (Did I just hear a flipping out Marine Electrician? )
