1977 O'Day 25

I am heading out this weekend to look at a 1977 O'Day 25 on a trailer. The boat does have a one lung gas inboard that, according to the seller, turns over but doesn't start. The hull is reportedly also in very good condition with some sanding already done to prep for bottom paint. Rigging is also supposed to okay.

I have a fairly comprehensive checklist to do an initial once over on the craft and will defer to a surveyor if we decide it's something to pursue. That said, every boat has some common issues that people key on first and that's the info I need from other O'Day owners out there.

You dont need to hire anyone ,with bad paint and bad engine you could get Don Caseys book "Inspecting the aging sailboat"(or something like that)from the library and have at it..good luck
