Re: Ponce Inlet to Bahamas

I live just up the road in daytona. Sailed to the bahamas too many times to mention, mostly on my own boat. Not sure if our schedules coincide so lets meet up somewhere and talk.

By the way, is that the rebuilt alberg behind the restaraunt? If so, I knew the previous owner.

Re: Ponce Inlet to Bahamas

Yes, that's the boat. I live in palm coast. I'm hoping for 1st or 2nd week of November. The boat is ready. I finished the things that needed to be done. Ordered new life raft yesterday. Installed wind gen. Have all paperwork done. I'm on boat 2 or 3 days a week. Let me know when you want to get together. Thanks,
Brian

Re: Ponce Inlet to Bahamas

Christopher Likes was the PO. Spent a couple of years and many tens of thousands of dollars rebuilding her, then died of lung cancer before taking her for a sail.

Will you be on your boat this saturday? If you give me a time I can meet you there.

Forecast for sat looks good. 10 to 15 with 2 to 3 foot seas. High tide 5 pm. Low at 10 am .Noon should be ok. Water is thin behind slip so cannot back out at low tide.

Re: Ponce Inlet to Bahamas

Not departing just couple hours of sailing. I won't be trying to depart till 2nd week of Nov. That's fine. We can grab a bite and talk. Whatever

Re: Ponce Inlet to Bahamas

How long will the trip be and what parts of the Bahamas do you plan on going? Can you tell me a little bit more about your typical day to day? Crew expenses if any? Thanks!

Re: Ponce Inlet to Bahamas

Trip will be about three weeks or so. My plans for day to day are scuba, fishing, sailing, and exploring the smaller islands. Crew expenses will be your own food and drink and whatever else you need. I will be covering fuel and other expenses.

I stopped by saturday but you weren't aboard. As it turns out, I checked with the Admiral and she reminded me that I wont have a few spare weeks until January. If you are interested in going then please get back to me.
