Passage Virgin Islands to Chesapeake Bay

I am looking for a crew, alternatively a couple, capable to help for maneuvers and night watch, for direct crossing about one week, from Virgin Islands to Chesapeake Bay (USA). Departure from Tortola, BVI, around March 20th after weather forecast, arrival April 3rd to Norfolk, Va.
B1-B2 visa mandatory for non-US citizens to enter USA on a private yacht.
The boat is a recent catamaran, comfortable and well equipped, autonomous for power and fresh water. Weather followed through Iridium, complete safety gear (beacons, AIS, radar...).
Shared purse for food expenses and extras if any (entertainment, restaurants), but seldom on this kind of route. Count around 15-20 $ per day.
Quiet ambiance with permanent priority to security.
Current crew : an excellent cook who sailed several times with me.
Welcome on my board !

Re: Passage Virgin Islands to Chesapeake Bay

I am available! Have completed ASA 103, 104 last May in Chesapeake Bay. I own a 27’ foot Ericson moored in St. Augustine, have sailed the local area and ready for blue water passage experience. I don’t get seasick, am in excellent health, non smoker, good attitude. Own a real estate business, with flexible schedule. Private message me for more details.

I’m happy to buy my own food. How much does this job pay per day?

Re: Passage Virgin Islands to Chesapeake Bay

I'm genuinely curious.

While I'd understand the sharing of expenses if one were stopping at scenic locations along the way, why would someone want to share expenses on a direct crossing?

Looks more like a job than a holiday, right?

For some, the ability to sail constantly without the interruptions is a holiday
