Personal Profile
A passionate sailor first and foremost, crossing oceans on both sides of the equator, I grew up living in front of Lake Ontario. I am a lively person who has aspirations of working on yachts around the world. With an eye for what is right and wrong on sailing vessels, focusing on safety and continuously learning from veterans of the sea, I intend on working aboard while training for my RYA Offshore Certification after recently acquiring my RYA Coastal Skipper Certification. Close to 10,000 ocean miles obtained throughout 4 years during college training for welding and precision machining.

Maritime Qualifications
RYA - Yachtmaster Coastal Skipper
RYA - Yachtmaster Offshore Theory
CPS - Restricted Operators VHF Certificate
St. Johns Ambulance - First Aid & CPR/AED
STCW 95
ENG 1
Marine Metal Fabricator by Trade

Sailing Experience

S/V Rogues 33’
Captain, 2010-2014
I skippered my own Hobie 33 race boat around Lake Ontario participating and winning club races along with larger efforts such as long distance races circumnavigating the lake at day and night.

S/V Wolfhound 59’
First Mate, May – June 2014
I helped the owner prepare his newly acquired 1985 Swan 59 in Newport, Rhode Island to cross a large portion of the Atlantic Ocean to Ponta Delgada in the Azores via Bermuda. Jobs included watch leader, cooking and deckhand to Captain for 2500 nautical miles.

S/V Veloce 44’
Deck Hand, January 2014
Delivered an Elliott 44 from Hobart through the Bass Strait back to Melbourne, Australia after their successful Sydney to Hobart race. I helped anchor and moor the yacht 6 times navigating through coves to avoid 60 knot headwinds coming down the coastline.

S/V Giacomo 70’
Deck Hand, December 2013
After 10 days of work recommissioning the winning Volvo 70 from 2011, we delivered Giacomo to Sydney, Australia from Auckland, New Zealand through the Tasman Sea in time for the annual 2013 Sydney to Hobart race.
