Delivery Crew Cost - Puerto Vallarta to San Diego

Hi everyone!

Well after 5 years in Mexico - it's still wonderful, but we've been here, done that etc. So we're heading back to California in June.

We have no particular desire to do the Baja Bash ourselves and are hiring an experienced captain (already identified) and crew to deliver RD from Puerto Vallarta back to San Diego in June. This trip is about 1000 nautical miles (plus or minus).

So, just checking in the group. Who's had recent experience with delivery crews and what did they cost you?

I'm seeing rates like $200/day or $4.00/mile and wondering what anyone else found.

Regards,
Bill Finkelstein

Why not cut the cost down by getting the boat to Cabo yourself?.........i2f

2 EUR (3 USD) per mile, costs on the owner. Upwind multiply by 3.

I understand going north, but they pass Cabo on the way, and it appears their concern is saving money? P.V to Cabo is a descent sail, and you can get a window. Going up the coast is the hard part. I've been there, and done that. ........i2f
