Which boat for short sea of cortez trip?

Which boat is best for a 3 week (one way) cruise into the sea of cortez from Ensenada around and into the sea of cortez? Later on a different trip the boat would need to be returned to Los Angeles. Number of crew is flexible and would adjust to the size of boat.

1. 50' CSK catamaran - original diesel 1970, 2000 hours
2. 31' Corsair trimaran - brand new outboard
3. 38' Downeaster - newer diesel inboard 2004

any or all of the boats on your list will be enjoyable there---all are found sailing there... what do you like to sail--go for that one.
no boat is comfortable doing that bash in pacific.

The downwind run isn't going to be a problem for any of those boats.

Most folk motorsail the bash home. I personally wouldn't want to do it with an outboard. A 1970 diesel? Hmmmm.

Were I picking from the three selections, I'd probably lead toward the Downeaster, especially if it had a great autopilot. But then I'm a monohull guy.
