Where to charter in North America

Hi, I am going to Toronto for 5 days next summer and looking to do 10 days cruising, after seeing friends there. Having only ever been to NY before I have very little idea where the good cruising areas are?!
Maine sounds great as does Vancouver ?
Any one with any thoughts for a competent couple with a number of miles under their belt on cruising area and charter firms ?
Normal crushing is done around Ireland, Scotland south England and Brittany in a 35 footer

On the west coast, with 10 days out of Vancouver, I think you'd be able to make it up to Princess Louisa Inlet and Desolation sound. Lots of areas to explore between Desolation sound to the north and the Gulf/San Juan Islands to the south.

Re: Where to charter in North America

I would highly recommend the North Channel of Lake Huron. You can rent sailboats in Gore Bay on Manitoulin Island from Canadian Yacht Charters. The sailing area known as the North Channel is considered by many to be the best fresh water sailing in the world.

Gore Bay is about a 6 hour drive north of Toronto if you take the ferry from Tobermory I think..maybe a tad less or a tad more.

Good folks there was well, and a nice selection of boats. Book early if you can.

If you get a chance head to the west coast of Canada and hit up Desolation sound or Gore Bay-amazing sailing and scenery. You can read more about Canadian charters here to get a better idea: Yacht Charter Canada | Sailing Holidays Canada

Hope this helps, if you have anymore questions feel free to private message me.
