Such an adventure

By chance I discovered the Woods design catamaran adventure. Watched the three <30 foot open cats travel together from merry England up through Holland and into the Baltic. Along Sweden and then over to Estonia. They used locks and canals and just had a great go of it. Fascinating video shot back in the 80's I believe. Little tiny outboards breaking down, tents over the boom and camping out. Tied their boats to fence posts at nights in some of the canals with cows mooing at night. Some of the canals had bridges so low that even with masts shipped to the deck they couldn't stand up while they motored under.

I was just fascinated by it all. Adventuring with three boats and three friends on their own boats on minimalistic boats. Wouldn't trade it for a Gunboat...not that anyone is offering ...smile

post that on your url and skip past the commercial
Hope you enjoy it if you haven't seen it already....
