Been on a few cruises, they are a LOT better than those I did on the grey painted cruise ships I crossed the pond on. Accommodations were better too.

Now I tend to avoid ports when they are visiting.

Each to their own.

Having done a few pond crossings by small boat. It was a very gracious way to travel instead. Almost like id imagine a private superyacht would be.

Yet there was 3000 passengers and nearly 2500 crew most of the time you could still find yourself in a bar with only a couple of other people. Thee was never a sense of a crowd

Thing doesn't even look like a ship. More like a floating building. I'd hate to be on her in bad weather.

OK. I will also admit to being on two cruises. One was a Disney and the other Celebrity.

We thought the Disney cruise was going to be full of crazy kids and strollers every where but we barely saw any kids as they have separate areas for kids, families with kids, and lots of kid-only activities. We had a good time.

The Celebrity cruise was dirty and generally lived up to the preconceived notions on large cruising vessels. I've never seen to many whiners and prima donnas thinking they are the bees knees in one place. Other than my own boat that is..

Aside from haze gray cruises, never been on one. Have a friend that likes them a lot and is hooked up with Disney Corp, so gets a couple of cruises offered per year. Asked him about kids...same story, never really see them as they have areas that are set up exclusively for them. Fairly segregates.

Something about it just does not appeal to me. To big a structure on the water.

I love my CT48 and have cruised extesivly AND I've done several of these mega cruises in the med and north sea and love them…my hats off the these engineers and builders who manage to do this….

We have done a couple of these cruises with the daughter and grandkids, and say what you want about it, but those were the only vacations we've ever been on with the family where I actually felt like I was having a vacation too.

Usually I am so busy taking care of everyone and making sure they have a good time (kids), but on the cruise they could eat, play and entertain themselves, someone else cleaned up after them, they couldn't wander too far off, and I could actually relax and enjoy myself too.

Not the worst thing in the world.

OK ladies, here is a cruise ship that is the perfect size at 499'. On your 1st cruise you will be chipping, needle gunning, mopping, and painting. But on your 2nd cruise you get to run the sucker.
