New Years Sailing Resolutions

Happy new year everybody[emoji322]
I wish you all the best in the coming year

Just wondering what everybody's New Years sailing resolution is.
It can be anything including learning a new skill, a planned passage, getting to a new destination, a new purchase, an ambitious boat project.... whatever.
What do you plan to do or achieve this year that is sailing related?
Just curious

Get through this refit so I can actually sail again.

Re: New Years Sailing Resolutions

Mine:
Finish the 5+ year restoration project/obsession
Take someone who has never sailed out sailing.
Take someone who hasn't sailed in a while sailing.
Teach someone to sail.
Be a mentor to someone.
Enjoy the ride. Fill the sails, not worry about being somewhere at a certain time.

Re: New Years Sailing Resolutions

My targets are to
- do some maintenance work and minor upgrades so that the boat is in better shape after the season than before the season
- take some new people sailing

Re: New Years Sailing Resolutions

Mine is simple; I want to double the amount of time I spend on the water this year

Which isn't even that much This year: 20 outings minimum, 2-3 overnights somewhere across the bay. I don't care what it takes, be it new gizmos, gadgets, or another boat

Re: New Years Sailing Resolutions

Draw a line under the refit and get out there. This has gone on long enough.

Take this boat that I know so much about (how it's built, the systems) and find out more about how she sails. Explore the Pacific Northwest. Eat more crab, make more love, see more lovely places.

The work must end and the fun begin!
