Need Garmin 441s or Something Better - Any Ideas ?

Hi all,
I"m new here...and want to install a GPS w/ sounder in a 27'Irwin. It's solid glass...so i'll be using the mineral oil method.
That 441s' small screen kinda looks like it would be hard to take a quick glance at while in serious conditions...
Also: I'm not sure about attaching it on the bulkhead where anyone can come by and steal it. I"d like to put it on a swing arm inside the cabin so that I can conceal it. Just swing it outside when in use.

Hey..while i think of it....I also need to set up some sort of way I can use household electricity ....like maybe a quiet honda generator or just seperate batteries that the engine could charge?
