I plan to spend plenty of time naked when cruising. I'm not all into nudism, I just don't have enough butt to keep my pants up and I'm tired of pulling them back up.

All,

My opinion? the sight of "private parts" is supposed to arouse sexual urges. If you can hang around full nudity without having those thoughts, you are numb (dead?), not natural. Don't know of any society, even the most primitive, who don't cover the "nether regions" when in public. Probably both for sanitary/health reasons as well as not to excite constant thoughts of s3x.

So it's one thing to be nude with your significant other when you are free to stop for a s3x break whenever the urge hits, and another to be nekkid with others. I think nudists (naturists?) are full of it. Yeah, we aren't born with clothes, but we're human, the only animal who's self conscious = conscious of self, we have culture, we don't do it in the streets.

I would certain defer to your scientific view of it Margo and I prefer to be clothed in public myself but I do see value in being comfortable with our body in its natural state. I'm not uncomfortable with being naked in front of another person of any sex and don't think that sexual circumstances are the only appropriate time. Community bathing in the nude is a part of many societies.

Of course. My apologies, I mean that to come out so confrontational. Certainly, to each their own. I'm a live and let live kinda person, really. I can see the advantages in relation to laundry - hate those bags of dirty clothes on board!

Honestly, what is the big deal. Different people enjoy different things. Personally, if the weather is right, I prefer to sail in the nude. It's not a sexual thing...it's just what I enjoy. A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I went for a short afternoon sail. The weather here was in the upper 70's to low 80's. As soon as we were clear of the marina, I was in my birthday suit. My wife, who usually sails with me naked, decided it was too cold to strip down. It wasn't a sexual thing...it was just a comfort thing. The feeling of the sun and wind on my skin was incredible. And guess what, I think I only offended one pair of grey hairs on their power boat.

I can assure you that mere nudity does not equal sexuality. Nudists have healthy sex lives and are easily able to differentiate. It's all about attitude If this were not the case, there would be no need for Victoria's Secret ads. LOL. You certainly don't need to be naked to be aroused. Until you have experienced being nude with friends in a non-sexual situation, I know it's hard to imagine. But it's really no big deal!
