Re: Naked sailing!

Guilt, shame and religion as you suggest all go together although whether good or bad for a nation is debatable. Some of the larger religions have no issues with old men marrying pre-teen girls if that is one of your points although some of the preachers prefer young boys. All or most all religions use guilt and shame as a control mechanism.
Child abuse is a different kettle of fish and no one in there right mind wants to be part of this, whether religious or not religious but please try to separate nudity from sex, they do not necessarily go together if you have a sound healthy mind.

As I said you have a BIG problem
Since when guilt and shame are good
And what do they have to do with religion?

6 years in solitary for being naked in the UK. hate to think what they would sentence you to for something where someone is hurt or the property taken by your crime. Do they cut off hands for stealing in the UK?

very true, there are many false religions, by definition, there can only be one correct answer to a question if the answers contradict. this is not a religion forum, so i will not give my opinion on the right one, or on what one i feel is wrong.
victimization of children is plain wrong.
how do i know this? because my religion says so, and i have shame.

I am betting the naked ape started wearing coverings for protection from the elements. Not religion.

I wear gloves when working with barbed wire but very seldom do I don them for boat work.

Yet I know soft handed skippers that insist they are mandatory.

Different strokes, different folks.

I know this has nothing to do with naked sailing, but what is a "false religion"?

Re: Naked sailing!

Why when someone's opinion is different from your own do they have to be a religious nut, have a problem, be taught wrong by their parents or be wrong.

Why can't the just have a different view?

I thought we were discussing nudity, not sex, and they are not the same. The issue seems to be those that cannot separate the two. Which is why women are still requested to cover themselves when breastfeeding (thus shaming them), which really is shameful.

I may be a bit over the top on this but I spent far to many years working with sexually abused children and the perpetrators...
This is a very offensive quote. to equate unknown people with the stench of paedophilia is modern day witch burning.

clothing covers sex organs. i am married, and do not wish to see naked women. i am still a man, and will feel lust. i look away now if i notice a woman wearing a skimpy two piece, or a girl wearing shorts with no inseam.

no, breasts are not sex organs. i could go either way on the covering up part.
should they have to? no. should they be modest about it? yes.

no, i am autistic, and feel little to no empathy. thou i could be technically correct about religious studies, i would not have the ability to hold the widows hand as she dies, without checking my watch and tapping my foot. plus i think i would be a bit dry, and mostly incomprehensible.
