Re: Lost while the wife slept (redux)

Just to avoid confusion, this is not the same man overboard incident that happened north of Sydney about a week ago.
Don't know what it is with Aussie sailors and their boats at the moment... butter feet???

Good news they found him.

But how do you go overboard at a mooring and end up standed on a sand bar somewhere else?

His ordeal isn't over now he has to explain how he got there and what he was doing at the time in a totally believable way (for the wife to believe that is)...

Search for Sydney yachtsman called off
Story 2 says the guy is at Turkey Beach South of Happyrock

The map below shows that to be 583nm appart

Dropped an unopened tinnie over the side?

Still, lucky, lucky man. I believe it's a coin toss whether the crocs or the sharks get you in that part of the world, assuming you don't step on a scorpion or lion fish trying to walk to shore...or sand bar.

Yeah... funny that, considering one was a mono and one was a cat!

Now we're going to have the whole cat v mono thing because the guy on the cat survived and the guy on the mono appears not to have...

My old dog did the same thing. I was happily putzing below . Hours later I realized she was gone. after much searching she was found. Standing on a sandbar cold but quite content. What happened? No she wasn't relieving over the side, carelessly meandering the decks without harness or jacket, I didn't push her.She jumped ship. My dog jumped ship.punishable by flogging of course. Wet dogs have an annoying way dripping all over the deck and the saddling up to the captain and flogging off all the wetness. I'm flogged and she jumped ship.true tail that didn't make the papers
