Help! Safe Approach to Ponce De Leon, FL

Greetings All!

My husband and I have been sailing for 2 years and have made one offfshorw trip to Cumberland Ialand, Ga., and one to Jacksonville FL. from St Augustine.
We would now like to go through Ponce de Leon Inlet coming from St Augustine.. I've ordered the POD charts, have garmin and chart plotter on board 33 ft Hunter.
I hear Ponce de Leon has a lot of shoaling. Does anyone please have any local knowlege they would be willing to share.

Try this link and click on the description tab. The inlet is reported as constantly changing and there is a CG "Notice to Mariners" link. Hope this helps.
